5G for Smart Communities launch event

On 25 April (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM CEST) the 5G for Smart Communities Support Platform, on behalf of the European Commission would like to invite you to the 5G for Smart Communities launch event.
This event will bring together interested stakeholders from mobile network operators, alternative operators, equipment manufacturers, and public authorities to share ideas and insights on Europe’s Digital Decade and policy objectives for 5G for Smart Communities.
The day will feature presentations by DG CNECT and HaDEA outlining the policy objectives for 5G for Smart Communities in the context of digital targets for 2030. A roundtable discussion will follow, in which we will explore why should a 5G provider/operator and a public service provider/ public authority collaborate in order to get funded under Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) 5G for Smart Communities call.
After a networking lunch, breakout sessions will be organized according to thematic areas of Health, Education and Agriculture, Smart City, Emergency and Disaster Relief. The selected projects from CEF Digital call 1 on 5G for Smart Communities will present their projects and share useful tips and lessons learned from the application projects with the interested stakeholders. The event will conclude with a wrap-up session, featuring final remarks by DG CNECT.
