The Architecture Working Group as part of the 5GPPP Initiative is working on a White Paper with focus on the design of the architecture for the 5G era. Details can be found in the presentation made by the 5G-PPP Architecture WG during the 5G PPP – 1st 5G Architecture Workshop:

5G related projects and initiatives (other than the 5G-PPP projects who are in the WG) are now invited to submit inputs to be considered by the WG for inclusion in the White Paper.

Interested projects and initiatives are encouraged to submit a 1 page contribution according to the following format:

  • Project Name and Programme (& contact person)
  • Description of use cases and requirements analyzed by the project(s)/initiative
  • Description of architectural and technical solutions developed in the initiative/project(s) to meet the above requirements
  • Implementation aspects of identified architecture solutions
  • Standardization impact (evolutionary, i.e. need adjustments to 4G existing standards or “revolutionary”, i.e not covered by existing 4G standard).

Inputs should be sent in word or PDF format to 5G-Architecture-Contributions@5g-ppp.eu by the 27th April to allow integration of the most relevant and innovative contributions.  The contact person may be contacted if additional information or explanations are required.

The 5G-PPP Architecture WG will publish the first version of the White Paper early June and will immediately open a public consultation to collect feedback on that version.

The updated Version of the White Paper will be published by end of June.
