5G Smart City Vertical Use Case Awards – 3 fantastic prizes are up for grabs!

The 5GCity project focuses on live demonstration of 5G services in three cities already going through digital transformation: Barcelona, Bristol and Lucca.

For these reasons, a 5G Smart City Use Case Award has been implemented. The award aims to ignite the generation of Smart City Use Case Ideas that could be manifested given the 5G technologies. Since Smart Cities are a recognized vertical sector of 5G, the Smart City Use Cases could span everything from arts and culture to work and employment with focus on end user benefits i.e., the citizen.

HOW DOES it WORK

• Submission of your 5G Smart City Use Case idea (max 2 pages) to 5gscuc_award@i2cat.net with subject “5G Smart City UC Contest”
• Deadline to send ideas: midnight November 06 2018.
• If your idea is selected notification for a shortlist will sent by November 9, 2018.

Evaluation panel will be composed by:
-Dr. Bernard Barani, 5G EC Deputy Head of Unit
-Dr. Colin Willcock, 5G IA Chair
-Mr. David Ferrer,  Secretary of Telecommunications, Cybersecurity and Digital Society from the Catalan Government
-Dr. Sergi Figuerola, 5GCity Project Coordinator
-MWCB 5G Director

• You will be required to attend  13 from 17:00-19:00 at SCEWC 5GCity Side Event– Central District Agorà – Gran Via Venue, HALL 2 and present your idea in 4 minutes slot with the support of 4 slides maximum.

• 3 finalists will be awarded:

-1st Prize: 3K euros + 1 MWC2019 pass
-2nd Prize: 1K euros + 1 MWC2019 pass
-3rd Prize: 1 MWC2019 pass
