NOVEMBER 2020:
The 5G IA Pre-Standardisation work group is running a consultation to identify the potential to impact standardisation from the expected timeline, phases, and key areas of work for B5G (Beyond 5G) and 6G research towards 2030. The idea is to collect feedback, which will be suitably anonymised, to help consolidating a B5G and 6G research with standardisation potential roadmap. Such a roadmap is expected to support activities related to the EU research ecosystem with the final aim of maximising impact on standardisation.
The consultation asks you to consider the “Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda 2021-27: “Smart Networks in the context of NGI”, as published by the European Technology Platform NetWorld2020 in September 2020 and, based on the technologies foreseen in that document, to give you opinions on the standardisation needs and opportunities for these technologies.
Accordingly you are asked, as companies or research institutions, (not projects!) to download and complete the Questionnaire Document (as a Word Document) and submit your completed form via email to Questionnaire@5g-ppp.eu
The answers to the questionnaire shall not be shared outside the 5G-IA Pre-Standardisation WG, and are not binding in so far as you may update your views at any time (considering the dynamic nature of the topic) by resubmitting an updated version of the form. Any GDPR sensitive date gathered in this process will only be kept and used for the purposes for which it was gathered.
An aggregated version of the results will be published as part of the standardisation road-mapping work in early 2021.
This consultation will stay open until Friday 18th December 2020, after which the results will be compiled by the Pre-Standardisation WG.
