5G-XCast @Forecast’17

5G-XCast will make many presentations at the Forecast’17 seminar that will take place on 23-24 November in Geneva (Switzerland).

Forecast is an annual EBU event dedicated to distribution of audiovisual media services. IT covers not only technical aspects but also regulatory and operational issues, with a focus on large-scale distribution of Public Service Media (PSM) content and services. David Gomez-Barquero (UPV), 5G-XCast Project Manager,  will deliver a presentation on the whole phase 2 project. Several other experts that are involved in 5G-XCast will speak at the event, including Steve Appleby (BT, Unified service delivery on fixed and mobile networks 11:45 am session 1, 23 November), Javier Morgade (IRT, Next generation of DTT technologies, where are we going? 9:45 am session 1, 23 November), Roland Beutler (SWR, Business Arrangements for distribution of broadcast content, 10:00 am session 4, 24 November), and Matt Stagg (BT/EE Scaling mobile networks to support the rise in live and linear viewing 11:00 am session 4, 24 November).
