The Digital Week 2016 is heading to Bratislava (26-29 September)

Two events will be organised by DG CNECT taking place during the Digital Week in Bratislava (Slovakia), during the Slovakian Presidency. The Digital Week includes ICT Proposer’s Day 2016 (on 26-27 September) and the Digital Assembly “Putting the Digital Single Market at the heart of Europe” (on 28-29 September).
5G-related topics will be presented, mainly the topic ICT-07-2017 that aims at research and innovation in the field of 5G by building up on the results of Phase 1 of the 5G PPP initiative as well as the topic ICT-08-2017 that aims at innovating in new optical access network solutions based on integrated optical device prototypes and developing flexible virtual network functions useful for operators, service providers and third parties. The Digital Assembly will also have a strong 5G component, especially on 28 September when the session on ‘Connectivity and Privacy Issues in the Electronic Communications Sector’ will be taking place.
The ICT Proposers’ Day is organised in the frame of the Digital Week and offers:
- Presentations of the ICT-related topics by the EC for 2017
- The very popular Face2Face match making meetings
