Release of Phase 3 (Part2) Pre-structuring Model Version 2.0 |
||
The Phase 3 (Part 2) Pre-structuring Model Version 2.0 has been released by the 5G Infrastructure Association (5G-IA) on 12.07.19. Targeting a successful and coherent PPP Phase 3.II research and innovation programme and building on PPP Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3.I experience, the 5G Infrastructure Association members have developed the Phase 3.II PreStructuring Model (PSM). The goal is to ensure that the forthcoming set of projects (portfolio) will cleverly work together in Phase 3 and between Phase 2 and Phase 3. The Model is focused on Phase 3.II projects portfolio and related projects, not on proposals, and is building on the EC Work Programme 2018-2020 (final version of the WP2020 officially released on 02.07.19 – http://ec.europa.eu/research/participants/data/ref/h2020/wp/2018-2020/main/h2020-wp1820-leit-ict_en.pdf). The Model is presenting features and recommendations to guarantee smooth integration of new projects in existing coordinated programme. It is targeting system recommendations to develop future efficient cross-projects cooperation, ensuring a comprehensive coverage of R&I topics, with no gaps or redundancies. The PSM Phase 3.II is focusing on the following EC Strategic Objectives:

ICT Proposers’ Days 2019 |

Helsinki, Finland – September 19-20, 2019 The ICT Proposers Days will be held in Helsinki (Messukeskus Center, Southern Entrance, Messuaukio 1, 00520 Helsinki, Finland) on September 19-20, 2019. This event will provide an excellent opportunity to present and discuss the main policy drivers of the digital transformation of European industry and society and how the EU research and innovation agenda can best contribute to these objectives. The event will also present the Horizon 2020 Work Programme, and serve as a unique networking platform for ICT enthusiasts and professionals. 5G PPP projects’ achievements will be showed in a booth. The Digital Excellence Forum will start with a plenary debate on “Partnering for Digital Excellence. The event will have a separate track of open dialogue sessions on the upcoming Digital Europe Programme. These sessions will provide a unique opportunity for participants to get an insight of the Commission proposal for the first two years of the programme and to share their views and ideas for programme investments focus in the next two years. A session will be held on innovation in 5G mobile and R&D in smart connectivity (beyond 5G) for a Next-Generation Internet.The session will span over two timeslots (Part I and Part II), just before (Part I, Hall 3 10:45 am-12:00 pm) and after the lunch break (Part II, 13:15-14:30 pm) on Friday 20th September. It will start with presentations by the European Commission on the content of the four topics (ICT-41-2020, ICT-42-2020, ICT-52-2020 and ICT-53-2020). The 5G Infrastructure Association (5GIA) will then give some information on their activities as well as their views about participation and proposal coverage in the above topics. Helsinki, Finland – September 25 @ 9:00 – 21:00 The NGI Forum 2019 will take place on September 25th, 2019 in Helsinki, Finland. The NGI Forum is the flagship annual event that gathers together prominent researchers, innovators and policy makers at work on several fronts to restructure the Internet to be fit for the future we want, while we continue using it to help run our societies and economies. The event will include a mix of policy and specialist talks, open discussions and interactive working groups. 5G PPP @5GWF’19 |

The 2019 IEEE 2nd 5G World Forum (5GWF’19) aims to bring experts from industry, academia and research to exchange their vision as well as their achieved advances towards 5G, and encourage innovative cross-domain studies, research, early deployment and large-scale pilot showcases that address the challenges of 5G. 5G-DRIVE, 5G EVE, 5G-VINNI, 5GENESIS, and SLICENET are organising the “2nd Workshop on 5G-Trials – From 5G Experiments to Business Validation” and calling for papers. 5G Techritory 2019 |

Riga, Latvia – November 27-29, 2019
Baltic Sea region 5G Ecosystem Forum “5G Techritory”, organized by the Electronic Communications Office of Latvia, has become a huge success already in its first year. In 2018 one of the leading 5G technology events worldwide gathered 700 participants, more than 70 senior speakers from Europe, Asia and the USA, leading industry organizations and global ICT companies as the organizational partners and main supporters.
