5G-LOGINNOV Publication of Positions Papers on AI and 5G Networks |
The 5G-LOGINNOV project has published two position papers with recommendations on the research, development and deployment of artificial intelligence applications and the priority of rolling out 5G networks in specific areas. Actions to enhance research, development and deployment of AI applications The 5G-LOGINNOV and 5GMETA projects have identified a number of roadblocks and gaps during the deployment of their envisioned innovations. These gaps can prevent the early deployment, scalability, and further efficiency of AI applications. Several recommendations have been developed to tackle the roadblocks identified; some of those recommendations, relevant for both projects, have been formulated as a call to action and presented in this document. The document is available to download here. Authors: Frank Daems, Lidia Buenavida Peña, Giuseppe Sirignano, Gorka Vélez Actions to ensure the priority roll out of 5G networks on EU hinterland and port area The 5G-LOGINNOV project has developed 5G related innovative products and services in three different EU port areas acting as Project’s Living Labs. During the realisation of these innovations some roadblocks or gaps were detected that prevent early deployment, scalability, and further efficiency in the ports. This position paper sets a number of deployment requirements and actions to overcome these gaps. The document is available to download here. SCoDIHNet monthly news |
The Smart Connectivity DIH Network has mainly worked on the following topics 1/ SCoDIHNet is now running for 4 years and an update of the membership is needed as some organisations have disappeared and some new ones are willing to join. With regards to the 93 registered organisations, 68 have provided an answer, most of them are willing to stay, some not. Following the presentation made on the 5th October in the context of the IAFA#1 of SNS-OPS project, we will ask AIOTI members and SNS JU members if they are interested to join SCoDIHNet as Technology providers in order to facilitate cooperation with DIHs. 2/ A survey has been put in place in order to better understand the key services that DIHs members are expected from SCoDIHNet. Among the 33 services provided, the 5 key services are: 1) Development of EU proposals, 2) Organisation of pan-EU collaborative R&D, 3) Initiating (ad-hoc) EU interregional collaborations, 4) EU instruments and calls information and 5) Mapping of R&D capacities/capabilities. 3/ Collection of replicable use cases/solutions is still going one with the SNS JU call 1 projects, they will complement the existing catalogue when developed and experimented in real conditions. The vertical tracker put in place by the SNS OPS projects is helping to identify these use cases/solutions that are replicable, project could then use the Replicability assessment tool in order to determine the level of replicability. |
