ICT 2015 – Lisbon Lisbon – October 20-22, 2015
ICT 2015 took place in Lisbon on October 20-22, 2015. It gathered 5748 participants that attended the main conference, the several workshops, exhibitions and the various networking sessions this event offered.
The 5G PPP initiative and many of its key players were actively participating to ICT2015 in several ways
Second 5G Vertical Workshop Brussels – November 9, 2015
The second 5G Vertical Workshop took place in Brussels on November 9, 2015. It followed from the 1st 5G for Verticals Workshop, co-organised by the European Commission and the 5G Infrastructure Association in Brussels on June 18, 2015 with the automotive, energy, factories of the future / manufacturing, health, media / entertainment and ICT sectors.
5G PPP projects 5G NORMA, METIS-II and VIRTUWIND will present demos at the Mobile World Congress 2016 (EC booth ) to be held in Barcelona (Spain) at the end of February 2016.
The SIMPLI-CITY (Smart Mobility) and CITY-PULSE (IoT) projects will also present demos.
The 5G PPP participation at the Mobile World Congress 2016 will also include a Media and Analyst briefing on the launch of the 5G PPP White paper “5G empowering verticals” to be held on Monday 22, 2016 afternoon in the Media Village.
This meeting will focus on information and coordination of the running FP7 and H2020 projects from call ICT 5 and ICT6. After an information session on the upcoming calls, the current Clusters “Future Internet”, “CaoN” and “RAS” will present their achievements and the 5G PPP association will introduce and discuss the opportunities of collaboration with the 5G Projects. A new format for the clusters in H2020 will be debated. The preliminary agenda for this meeting is the following:

First Global 5G Event Beijing, China – May 31-June 1, 2016
The first Global 5G Event will take place in Beijing on May 31-June 1, 2016. It is jointly organised by 5G-PPP (Europe), IMT-2020 Promotion Group (China), 5G Forum (Korea), 5G Mobile Forum (Japan) and 4G Americas (USA).
EuCNC 2016 (European Conference on Networks and Communications) is the 25th edition of a successful series of technical/scientific conferences, open to the world research community, sponsored also by the European Commission, with a focus that ranges from the physical layer to all types of supported applications. Particular focus in this edition will be on 5G technologies. The 2016 edition will be co-organized by the University of Piraeus and the Institute of Communications and Computer Systems (ICCS).
Once again, this conference will be a cornerstone event for research in advanced networks and associated topics, with multiple exciting sessions, workshops, exhibitions/demonstrations, as well as an outstanding social program.
