5G-RECORDS: “Special newsletter for the Day of Women and Girls in Science”
February 11 is The International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This is an important day for women and girls to recognize the fundamental role they play in science and technology.
The objectives of this day include:
- to eliminate gender stereotypes within the field of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM),
- to encourage scientific and technological vocations in girls, and
- to make the work of women working in the STEM field visible.
It is really important to show the achievements of Women in STEM as references to encourage greater participation from women and thus promote gender equality in the scientific field.
Within 5G-RECORDS project there are many talented women whose participation is an asset to the project and their contributions are key to the success of its development. These Women are actively involved in various lines of research and development and this diversity in research brings new perspectives and creativity.
