WINGS ICT Solutions is an SME, which focuses on the development of solutions (software and hardware) for various vertical areas.
The areas are utilities (water, energy, gas), smart/digital/liveable cities (providing the means for managing the air quality, the transportation infrastructure and buildings, as well as delivering services for health, parking and user mobility, and citizen security/safety), food security/safety (safety of meat/milk/oil, smart aquaculture, etc.), and, more recently, industry/logistics.
The foundation for the solutions comprises IoT technologies (all types of sensors and actuators, diverse devices/vehicles, etc.), advanced wireless networks (4G, WiFi, 5G, etc.), cloud and big data platform, artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, and security mechanisms (such as blockchain, distributed ledgers, etc.).
WINGS is also an active in international research and development projects, through which it conceptualizes, materializes and matures innovations, which are then incorporated into its platforms/products. WINGS members are very experienced in project, technical and WP/Task management. Indicatively members of WINGS coordinated the ICT/FP7 OneFIT project (opportunistic networks in support of infrastructures through cognitive management, 2010-2012) and had the technical management of the projects ICT/FP7 E3 (cognitive management, 2008-2009), H2020/PhasmaFOOD (food security, 2017-2020), H2020/Impaqt (aquaculture, 2018-) and H2020/5G-Mobix (5G, connected cars, security/logistics, 2018-2021).
