According to SDG-committed UNWTO statement, (tourism) “sustainability principles refer to the environmental, economic, and sociocultural aspects of tourism development”; and regarding that first dimension, sustainable tourism “should make optimal use of environmental resources that constitute a key element in tourism development”.
Tourism industry is accountable for a significant percentage of some European Member States' GDP. Hence, the opportunity exists for pushing into such industry innovative solutions aiming at improving the way we manage environmental resources, e.g. optimizing the number of tourists visiting especially sensitive natural spaces.
Naturally Smart (NaS) has been architected as a complex integrated system for enhancing perimeter intrusion detection solutions applied to natural spaces exploitation and management. The system will be able to control not only people getting in and out of a virtually fenced space, but tracking them approaching such virtual perimeter.
We’ll be delivering a cloud-based solution that is intended to be available to end users via mobile and desktop devices. Such a solution -including hardware and software components- will be deployed as a full-featured virtual fence on any 5G-enabled location.
Edosoft Factory is a consolidated Spanish SME within the Software Engineering industry. With more than 15 years of experience, and some 60 talented professionals on board, we are leveraging our capacity and expertise on Data Analytics, AI/ML and Cloud Technologies throughout different R&D areas:
- Smart Solutions: we are mainly focused on IoT, Edge Computing and solutions based on LiDAR sensors and 5G-enabled solutions.
- Data & AI: we specialize in Google’s technology and cloud services stack, where we design, deploy and optimize complex architectures for data analytics and machine learning.
- Blockchain: we have developed some very specific solutions and, since the EC has given specific weight to this type of technologies (DLT) we treat it as a line in itself.
We have been delivering solutions based on wireless sensor networks for a variety of use cases, e.g. precision agriculture monitoring, chemical pollution control, and urban parking areas management; while pushing a number of innovative projects based on LiDAR technology, not only for perimeter security use cases but for industrial plant maintenance through AI-based anomaly detection too.
